Or because it's really old yeast. I always add a little bit (like 1 tablespoon) of sugar to yeast when I mix it with water - really activates the little buggers.<br /><br />Whenever Will is gone I make lots of recipes with garlic - garlic bread, curry, more garlic bread, bruchetta, etc. I made this recipe last week and really liked it. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Crispy-Italian-Chicken-Topped-with-Mozzarella/Detail.aspx I used Italian panko crumbs.
